Im currently working with a leading multi-national packaging manufacturing business that has an excellent opportunity for aMaintenance Engineerto join their team in Bedford.

The Role:

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and attend to production breakdowns.

  • Perform inspections and work in line with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across the site.

  • Work closely with colleagues and other departments to improve processes and efficiencies.

  • Maintain high standards of health, safety, and quality.

  • Manage your daily workload and priorities effectively.

  • Liaise with suppliers for sourcing parts and equipment at competitive prices.


The Ideal Candidate:

  • An experienced Engineer, ideally time-served or apprentice-trained.

  • Competent in electrical work and comfortable in a multi-skilled engineering role.

  • Background in FMCG manufacturing is advantageous.

  • Computer literate and able to use modern maintenance systems.

  • Detail-oriented and quality-focused.

  • A flexible team player who can also work independently.

  • Strong awareness of health & safety and experience conducting risk assessments.

  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
