Maintenance Engineer required. Our client is a well-established steel stockholder based in the Kentford, Suffolk area, seeking an experienced Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer to join the team with strong electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic experience.
Maintenance Engineer Job Overview
Performing preventative maintenance routines and condition monitoring of production machinery and facilities as per the maintenance schedules. Liaising closely with the Maintenance Supervisor and operations staff in all aspects to ensure efficient, effective and planned reactive maintenance at all times Making safety inspections of tools and equipment Diagnosing faults and repairing machines in a safe manner to minimise downtime and cost Anticipating machine failures and making such changes or recommendations to prevent re-occurrence and to minimise downtime Working to improve reliability and productivity of equipment Completing written records of all maintenance activities Carrying out maintenance tasks diligently and in good time using appropriate methodology
Maintenance Engineer Job Requirements
Good mechanical and electrical skills. Pneumatic and Hydraulic knowledge, along with PLC, inverter, instrumentation and control experience. Knowledge of various mechanical drive arrangements UK driving license and have experience in a heavy industrial environment.
