Maintenance Engineer

A large FMCG manufacturer are looking for a Maintenance Engineer to work on a Permanent Night Shift. This role offers you the chance to make a real impact in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, supporting the team in achieving safety, quality, and performance goals. Working 6pm till 6am on the below shifts:

Week 1:  Sunday to Tuesday-6pm to 6am (36 hours)

Week 2:  Saturday to Tuesday-6pm-6am (48 hours)

Week 1:  Wednesday to Friday-6pm to 6am (36 hours)

Week 2:  Wednesday to Saturday-6pm-6am (48 hours)

 

What You Will Do:

- Perform safe engineering operations while adhering to Health & Safety policies and reporting hazards promptly.

- Ensure all machine repairs and modifications meet high-quality standards.

- Communicate effectively with production teams and provide detailed handovers between shifts.

- Mentor and support machine operators, helping them troubleshoot and solve technical issues.

- Participate in continuous improvement projects and technical trials aimed at enhancing processes.

- Maintain accurate records in EMA and Gemba systems, ensuring compliance with preventative maintenance schedules.

 

What You Will Bring:

- A minimum of 2 years' engineering experience within the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) industry.

- A relevant engineering qualification.

- Mechanical engineering expertise, with electrical engineering experience considered an advantage.

- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work autonomously.

- A proactive, reliable, and accountable approach to your work.
