Maintenance Engineer
Alexander Steele is working exclusively with a global food manufacturing business to recruit a Maintenance Engineer for their site in Buckinghamshire. The successful candidate will play an integral part of the engineering team responsible for maintaining and optimising food production machinery and processes.
What’s on Offer:
- Paying circa £59,000
- 23.5 days holiday + 8 bank holidays

- Monday – Friday (days/lates) - every 3rd Friday you off
Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive maintenance and repair work on a wide range of production equipment, including conveyors, ovens and packaging machines.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues to minimise downtime and production interruptions.
- To seek continuous improvement in work practices and methods, using manufacturing excellence techniques, to identify and implement/recommend cost reductions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency, safety, and product quality.
- To deputise for the Engineering Manager
Background Experience:
- HNC, HND or degree in Electrical, or related engineering field.
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role within a food manufacturing or processing environment.
- Strong fault-finding skills
- Excellent ability to communicate with stakeholders across various levels.
- Strong organisational skills and an exceptional attention to detail.
