Maintenance EngineerBlackburn Shifts Up to £48 000 plus excellent development support!About the RoleWe're seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Engioneer with an electrical bias to join our dynamic engineering team at our Blackburn site. You'll play a critical role in maintaining and optimising production machinery within a successful manufacturing environment, ensuring safe, efficient, and continuous operations.This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing setting and is passionate about problem-solving, preventative maintenance, and continuous improvement.Key ResponsibilitiesFirst responder to equipment breakdownsDiagnose faults and record details in CMMSCollaborate with shift crews and day teams to resolve issuesEnsure smooth handover of unresolved breakdowns across shiftsExecute assigned routines (e.g. motor checks, HMI programming, panel cooling units)Respond to electrical/control system faults and carry out effective repairsLog all activities and labour time in EAMSet up machines to maximise output and maintain safety systemsPrepare detailed shift reports with technical recommendationsAttend shift handovers and highlight training needsPromote operator engagement with EAM work requestsWhat We're Looking ForNVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering2-3 years' engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.Proficient in reading electrical diagrams and using diagnostic instrumentsSkilled in motor control systems, drives, sensors, and PLC I/O checksCapable of working independently with minimal supervisionAbout youStrong commitment to safety and continuous improvementSelf-motivated, flexible, and team-orientedWillingness to undertake training and support others developmentAbility to identify and act on personal development opportunitiesShift pattern4 on 4 off19:00-07:00How to ApplyIf you're ready to take on a challenging and rewarding role in a forward-thinking manufacturing environment, we'd love to hear from you.
