Maintenance Engineer – Multiskilled (Elec Bias)\n\n  Cheltenham – Permanent – Full-time – Days (6-14) Salary £42,000\n\nAre you a proactive Maintenance Engineer with strong fault-finding skills and experience across CNC machinery, PLC systems, and industrial plant equipment? We’re looking for a hands-on engineer to join a dynamic maintenance team at a leading high-volume manufacturing facility.\n\nThis is a key role responsible for ensuring machinery uptime, supporting TPM initiatives, and contributing to long-term reliability improvements across a wide range of production equipment.\n\nThe Role:\n\n·        Carry out electrical and mechanical fault finding, repair and preventative maintenance on CNC, PLC-controlled machinery, and factory services\n\n·        Support and help deliver planned maintenance schedules (TPM and CMMS-based)\n\n·        Maintain boilers and energy centre equipment (training provided if needed)\n\n·        Improve plant reliability and support root cause analysis for downtime events\n\n·        Assist with contractor management and ensure high standards of safety and compliance\n\n·        Keep maintenance records and data up to date in the CMMS system\n\n·        Support wider improvement projects and work collaboratively with production and engineering teams\n\n·        Drive your own development and support training across the team when required\n\nThe Person:\n\n·        Multiskilled background with Mechanical or Electrical apprenticeship (ONC / NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)\n\n·        Experience in a manufacturing/production environment\n\n·        Good working knowledge of CNC, PLC, hydraulics, pneumatics, and industrial controls\n\n·        Familiarity with CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management Systems)\n\n·        Strong diagnostic skills and attention to detail\n\n·        A proactive and flexible mindset – team-oriented with the ability to work independently\n\n·        Good computer literacy and time management\n\nDesirable:\n\n ·        BOAS-certified or previous boiler operation experience\n\n·        Understanding of continuous improvement methods (Six Sigma, 5Y, etc.)\n\n·        Experience leading or training within maintenance teams\n\n·        Ability to deputise for a Team Leader when needed\n\nThe Benefits:\n\n·        Join a stable, high-performance maintenance team within a modern production site\n\n·        Opportunities for ongoing training and development (including boiler certification)\n\n·        Be part of a business committed to safety, performance, and continuous improvement\n\n·        Competitive salary, shift allowance (if applicable), and Excellent benefits package\n\nApply Today:\n\n To apply, send your CV to (url removed) or call George Jackson on (phone number removed) / (phone number removed).\n\nIMT acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary workers
