Our client is looking to recruit a Maintenance Engineer for their engineering site which is based in Littlehampton, West Sussex.They are a leading global manufacturer of castings for automotive and defence industries. It would be useful if you had experience in the following fields: Electrical & Mechanical Maintenance of manufacturing plant and systems (Hydraulic/Pneumatic, Gas burner controls, Electrical Control Panels, PLC Control systems, Overhead Cranes). Qualification Requirements; * Maintenance/Technician NVQ level 3 discipline or equivalent. * We will consider applicants that hold IMI LEVEL 3/4 Diploma in vehicle maintenance & repair. * Qualification in an electrical engineering discipline is also desirable. Role Description: You will be responsible for key maintenance of all essential plant and machinery within the foundry, heat treatment plant and machine shop manufacturing unit. You will need to oversee routine maintenance and organise repairs. Your role is vital to the efficiency, development and progress of manufacturing output and control of product through the business. Your objective working within our manufacturing team leaders will be to improve production facilities, reduce the incidence of costly breakdowns and develop strategies to improve the reliability and safety of plant.
