We have a niche opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer, to work in an expanding recycling company. Your key responsibility will be to maintain and run a shredding/ granulation machine.

  • For the role you must be a qualified engineer either electrical or mechanic
  • Have previous experience in recycling or plastic would be helpful but not essential manufacturing background essential.
  • Be self-motived and happy to run and maintain the machinery
  • The ability to prioritise your own workload is essential.
  • The role is mainly mechanical work with some elements of electrical work.
  • Stock management and process tracking.
  • Creating and management of PPM
  • Management of maintenance and breakdowns as required.
  • Goods in and out including documentation management.
  • Continuous Improvements of all processes.
  • Working with the R&D team to ensure alignment with material supply requirements.
  • Adhering to all H&S and RA guidelines including regular H&S reviews including creation of RA’s and reporting accidents / Near misses as they occur.
  • Understanding and recognising potential machine issues.
  • Ability to carry out routine planned maintenance.
