What You’ll Be Doing

• Identifying, supporting, and facilitating critical equipment Reliability Centred Maintenance studies, coordinating actions and outputs, and planning asset care strategies.
• Conducting Root Cause Analysis for equipment failures, facilitating investigations, and coordinating outputs and corrective actions.
• Planning, preparing, and establishing new asset Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM’s), ensuring topicality and appropriateness of existing PPM’s, and identifying, planning, and establishing First Line Maintenance (FLM’s).
• Coordinating and facilitating asset risk and criticality assessments, collating outputs, customer feedback, and IBP inputs, reviewing and improving toolsets.
• Supporting manufacturing resilience and strategy optimization.
• Managing departmental KPIs and reporting, supporting internal and external audits.
• Managing and administering EAM systems.
• Investigating new technologies to enhance departmental capabilities and modernization.

Essential Skills and Experiences

• Sound understanding of manufacturing maintenance and asset management, with experience managing planned and reactive work.
• Experience managing varied stakeholders from senior management to shopfloor workers, with collaboration and negotiation skills.
• Experience using maintenance management software systems to manage planned and unplanned work.

The Operations Maintenance Team

The Maintenance Support Engineer supports the Operations Maintenance Team at Samlesbury, providing technical problem solving, continuous improvement, and maintenance toolset optimization to support manufacturing asset capability and sustainment.

The team is responsible for asset management and the sustainment of manufacturing plant and equipment across aircraft programmes, coordinating planned internal and outsourced asset maintenance, managing service records, supporting asset resilience, and conducting root cause analysis and RCM studies for critical equipment.
