Role Overview:
KPMG UK is seeking a
Senior GenAI Engineer
to join our
Data & AI team . You will contribute to the
development
and
deployment
of
generative AI models , support client project delivery, and work collaboratively to drive impactful AI solutions. You will play a key role in designing AI systems, managing teams, and ensuring effective integration of AI models into client environments, while maintaining data governance and security standards.
Key Responsibilities:
AI Solution Development:
Design, develop, and implement generative AI models to solve client business challenges.
Collaborate with senior AI engineers and data scientists to build solutions aligned with business goals.
Create Proof of Concepts (PoCs), Minimal Viable Products (MVPs), and full-scale AI projects that deliver business value.
Client Project Delivery & Team Management:
Support the delivery of AI solutions, ensuring successful and timely project execution.
Manage and mentor AI engineers and data scientists, providing guidance throughout project cycles.
Gather client requirements, translate into technical solutions, and facilitate seamless AI model implementation.
Coding & Implementation:
Develop and optimize AI models with high-quality, production-ready code.
Utilize tools like TensorFlow, PyTorch, Databricks, and Snowflake for deployment in cloud environments.
Ensure AI models are integrated into existing systems, managing version control and CI/CD processes.
Data Management & Integration:
Coordinate with data engineering teams for smooth data flow and management.
Ensure AI models are integrated into data pipelines with attention to data quality and consistency.
Follow best practices for data governance, security, and privacy, especially with sensitive data.
Business Development & Practice Building:
Identify AI opportunities, support feasibility studies, and develop tailored data strategies.
Contribute to RFP responses, proposals, and client demos, showcasing AI solutions.
Support the growth of KPMG's AI practice through innovative ideas and solutions.
Ethical and Secure AI deployment:
Ensure compliance with data governance policies and regulations.
Implement best practices for data privacy, security, and ethical AI.
Develop guidelines for secure data handling in AI projects.
Qualifications & Experience:
Educational Background:
Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or related field preferred but not mandatory.
Equivalent professional experience or certifications in AI/ML are advantageous.

Work Experience:
5+ years in AI/ML, with focus on generative AI solutions.
Experience with Large Language Models like GPT, BERT, etc.
Proficiency with frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and cloud platforms like Databricks and Snowflake.
Skills:
Designing and coding generative AI models, prompt engineering for LLMs.
Understanding of AI/ML algorithms, model optimization, deployment in cloud environments.
Experience with version control, Docker, and data engineering tools.
Strong collaboration, leadership, and communication skills.
