Position: Manufacturing Engineer - Factory Design & Equipment (Full time, Bristol)

Responsibilities:

• Designing and developing production areas and manufacturing cells.
• Identifying factory and cell requirements, creating concepts for review and implementation.
• Collaborating with process specialists and cross-functional teams to ensure safe, efficient workspaces.
• Specifying manufacturing equipment, estimating costs, and planning infrastructure and maintenance.

Candidate Profile:

• Proven experience in designing, optimizing, and validating manufacturing and operations workspaces.
• Strong knowledge of production planning, value streams, human factors, and risk assessment.
• Experience in specifying, acquiring, installing, and maintaining manufacturing equipment, managing full project lifecycle.
• Effective communication skills across business functions and leadership.
• Proficiency in 3D modelling tools within PLM environments (e.g., Siemens NX, Autodesk).
• Knowledge of value stream optimization and analytical tools, including Discrete Event Simulation.
