PROMAN Staffing has partnered with a regional client to source and hire a Manufacturing Engineer for their growing team in Hillside, IL

This is a direct hire opportunity.

We are seeking a highly technical Manufacturing Engineer with strong CNC machining and tooling expertise. In this role, you will drive improvements in product quality, productivity, workflow, and cost efficiency, while fostering teamwork, continuous improvement, and innovation.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and improve processes in CNC machining and tooling to maximize efficiency.

Quote and estimate cycle times from prints or CAD models.

Train and coach operators; adjust setups and programs to improve yield and cycle times.

Design and select tooling, fixtures, and gauges for CNC mills and lathes.

Program, set up, and operate CNC machines using CAD/CAM software or shop-floor programming.

Develop and maintain SOPs, setup sheets, and performance metrics.

Recommend new processes, tools, and equipment to improve machining efficiency.

Analyze workflow and layout to optimize efficiency and product flow.

Collaborate with Quality to ensure inspection standards and compliance.

Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment using 5S principles.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent hands-on experience.

5–10 years of progressive CNC machining experience (lathes & mills).

Strong background in CNC programming (CAD/CAM environment).

Experience in shop-floor programming, editing, and advanced machining concepts.

Knowledge of TPM, Setup Reduction, Kaizen, and Quality Control (GD&T, SPC).

Familiarity with ERP/MRP II systems and Microsoft Office.

Proven leadership skills, strong communication, and problem-solving ability.

Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
