Manufacturing Engineer – Aerospace | £45,000 | Bristol

The Role:

As a Manufacturing Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in developing and optimising production methods to support high-quality aerospace manufacturing. You'll work cross-functionally to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and ensure that manufacturing processes meet the highest industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

* Design and refine manufacturing processes for aerospace components

* Create 3D models and CNC programs using CAD/CAM tools

* Troubleshoot and resolve production challenges on the shop floor

* Specify and maintain tooling, jigs, fixtures, and equipment

* Lead continuous improvement and Lean initiatives

* Ensure compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001, and other aerospace regulations

* Support New Product Introduction (NPI) and process transfer projects

What We’re Looking For:

* Proven experience in a manufacturing engineering role, ideally in aerospace

* Strong knowledge of CNC machining, CAD/CAM (SolidWorks & SolidCAM ), and manufacturing techniques

* Ability to interpret technical drawings and documentation

* Quality-focused mindset with a drive for Right First Time production

* Strong collaboration and communication skills across engineering, quality, and production teams

Desirable:

* HNC or equivalent in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Aerospace Engineering

* Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Kaizen

* Familiarity with industry compliance and IP protection

What’s On Offer:

* Salary up to £45,000

* 37-hour week: Monday–Thursday 07:30–16:00, Friday 07:30–12:30 (some flexibility required)
