Overview: We are currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join a leading aerospace manufacturer on a 12-month contract with the possibility of extension. This role will be focused on supporting prismatic machining activities, parts and casing manufacture, process planning, and production investigations in a high-integrity environment.
Key Responsibilities: Provide Manufacturing Engineering support to prismatic machining of aerospace components (including aluminium and magnesium parts & casings). Support and drive investigation activities for process improvements and non-conformance issues. Develop and maintain manufacturing routings, process documentation, BOMs, and stage drawings. Generate and amend Work Instructions and SAP production orders in line with MPS requirements. Manage engineering change implementation across WIP and current assembly processes. Plan, review, and report on ME activities, identifying and escalating issues where needed. Request and manage tooling, fixtures, and gauges required for manufacture and assembly. Identify and implement process improvements for build sequence, tooling, and efficiency. Act as Manufacturing Engineering representative for Shop Floor Support. Support non-conformance reduction activities, internally and within the supply chain.Essential Requirements: HNC or equivalent in Engineering and/or time-served apprenticeship.
