Overview
Job Summary: Ensures that Indicon production lines are functioning in an efficient manner. Providing both preventative maintenance and daily maintenance when needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required from an accredited university in a technical background (electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or similar)
- Experience in manufacturing environment
- Experience with electrical equipment
- Ability to create written instructions, drawings, and schematics
- CAD Experience
- Excellent problem-solving skills – able to identify and analyze data and resolve problems in a timely manner
- Proficiency in computerized systems: Outlook, Word & Excel is required
- Demonstrated advanced mechanical, technical, and analytical capabilities
- Manufacturing experience in a custom make to order environment
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Excellent oral and written communications skills
- Demonstrates good judgment and decision-making skills
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Must be willing to work additional hours when required
Responsibilities
- Maintaining the highest standards in compliance within company policies, procedures, and all applicable regulations
- Independently develop and support efficient manufacturing processes
- Lead efficiency projects and upgrades
- Aid in implementing new assembly processes to reduce manufacturing costs for all current produced products
- Retrieve and analyze trend charts and process data on trained procedures
- Aid in audit preparation and participation
- Offer suggestions and follow up on process improvements related to safety, compliance, cost, yield, and productivity
- Participate in continuous improvement projects and 5S related performance teams
- Practice good interpersonal and communication skills
- Identify machine errors
- Assist in R&D prototype and development when required
- Attend departmental and other scheduled meetings
- Learn new skills, procedures and processes as assigned by management and continue to develop expertise
- Proactively maintain a clean and safe work environment, take necessary action to eliminate safety hazards, and communicate to others any observed unsafe behaviors
- Carry out duties in compliance with all state and federal regulations and guidelines, including FDA, EPA, and OSHA
