Manufacturing Process Engineer - Assembly

Escape Recruitment is supporting a well-established manufacturing business in Perthshire (part of a global group) to recruit a Manufacturing Process Engineer into their Technology team. This role is primarily project-focused , giving you the space to deliver meaningful manufacturing and process improvement initiatives, while still maintaining a practical connection to quality and shopfloor activity. You will lead and support defined manufacturing and process improvement projects, including: Delivering process capability improvements, yield enhancement and scrap reduction projects. Supporting scale-up of new products and materials from R&D into production. Leading elements of implementation and ramp-up into volume manufacture. Preparing project documentation, progress updates and risk assessments. There is a smaller hands-on quality element, providing shopfloor support through sample inspection, containment decisions and operator coaching. This keeps you close to production and helps inform continuous improvement opportunities. A strong graduate or early-career engineer will be considered, as well as someone with a few years experience. A degree in Engineering or Science (or equivalent experience). Exposure to manufacturing environments and a passion for process improvement. Confidence working with production teams and engineering stakeholders. Project coordination or project engineering experience. Background in manufacturing engineering, process engineering, production engineering or R&D implementation.
