Job Description
Here at NXS are seeking a Manufacturing Test Engineerto support the deployment and operation of vessels for calibration and engineering trials across the UK and Europe. This is a hybrid role, combining approx. 60% electronics test/calibration with 40% vessel operations.
This is an 18 month Fixed Term Contract
Key ResponsibilitiesTowing, launching, maintaining, and operating vessels in inland and coastal waters
Executing manufacturing and systems testing processes
Interpreting test data to determine calibration pass/fail criteria
Supporting in-house calibrations and applications engineering initiatives
Fault-finding and diagnostics down to component level
Ensuring compliance with manufacturing test requirements
HNC (or higher) in Electronics, with hands-on experience
Proven experience in diagnostic fault-finding to component level
Skilled in the use of oscilloscopes, DVMs, power supplies, timer counters etc.
Ability to read circuit diagrams, engineering drawings, and technical data
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
Full training and licence for vessel operations (not required upfront)
Opportunity to work on cutting-edge navigation and positioning systems
Varied role with both lab-based and field-based activities
Travel across the UK and Europe for calibration and trials
