Job Description

Here at NXS are seeking a Manufacturing Test Engineerto support the deployment and operation of vessels for calibration and engineering trials across the UK and Europe. This is a hybrid role, combining approx. 60% electronics test/calibration with 40% vessel operations.

This is an 18 month Fixed Term Contract

Key Responsibilities
  • Towing, launching, maintaining, and operating vessels in inland and coastal waters

  • Executing manufacturing and systems testing processes

  • Interpreting test data to determine calibration pass/fail criteria

  • Supporting in-house calibrations and applications engineering initiatives

  • Fault-finding and diagnostics down to component level

  • Ensuring compliance with manufacturing test requirements

Essential Skills & Experience
  • HNC (or higher) in Electronics, with hands-on experience

  • Proven experience in diagnostic fault-finding to component level

  • Skilled in the use of oscilloscopes, DVMs, power supplies, timer counters etc.

  • Ability to read circuit diagrams, engineering drawings, and technical data

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
