Are you an experienced Civil Design Engineer with a background in large, complex infrastructure projects?\n We’re currently hiring a Design Engineer (Waterfront / Civil Bias) to join a specialist engineering team at Portsmouth Naval Base, delivering innovative, compliant, and sustainable design solutions for critical maritime infrastructure.\n\nTell me more...\n In this role, you’ll work as part of a multi-disciplinary engineering team, taking responsibility for the design process across waterfront structures, foundations, and peripheral engineering systems. You’ll lead and coordinate design activity from inception to in-service, ensuring compliance with regulations, alignment with client objectives, and delivery of high-quality engineering solutions. This role offers the opportunity to make a direct impact on major defence and maritime projects in a unique environment.\n\nSalary £60,000pa, with excellent benefits and long-term career progression opportunities.\n\nWhat do you need?\n\nDegree or HND in Civil Engineering (or sub-discipline)\n\nIncorporated Engineer or working towards Chartered Engineer status\n\n5+ years’ experience in infrastructure or civil engineering projects\n\nStrong knowledge of the full engineering lifecycle, from inception to delivery\n\nExperience in waterfront structures, foundations, reinforced concrete, piling, and peripheral systems (e.g.
