You will report to the manager of the Parts and Material Audit Department (TME UK office, Derbyshire). The team’s main role is to assure the Quality of raw materials and critical parts to our European Manufacturing Companies. This involves support for new model preparation as well as managing mass production and market quality issues. The team’s key stakeholders are R&D, suppliers, manufacturing and customer quality.
Your responsibilities
Prepare the quality control system (at suppliers and Toyota) for new materials
Audit new (and current) suppliers to confirm their readiness towards customer requirements
Investigate the root cause and implement countermeasures for material quality concerns found in manufacturing and reported from the market
Drive kaizen activities to improve raw material quality and promote the most effective use of them
Your Profile
You have a Bachelor degree in Materials Science, Engineering or Chemistry (or equivalent)
Ideally you will have 18 months (minimum) of relevant experience in an industrial environment
You are practical and logical with a hands-on approach
As a self assured communicator, you can promote your strong problem-solving skills
You are customer focussed and show initiative in any problems that you face
Knowledge/experience of materials for automotive application is an asset
You are fluent in English (native or C2 level)
You are willing to travel on a monthly basis within Europe
