Overview

Capital Outsourcing Group are recruiting for an experienced MDU Build Engineer to join our client’s team, working on a prestigious Openreach contract. For over 35 years, our client has delivered trusted engineering solutions across the telecoms sector – and now you could be part of that success.

The Role

As an MDU Build Engineer, you’ll take ownership of delivering high-quality fibre installations within multi-dwelling units (MDUs). This is a role where your technical ability and attention to detail will make a real impact, as you:

  • Lead installations – running internal fibre from the network entry point through to each floor of the building.
  • Work with precision – terminating fibres into RDTs and breakout boxes, managing both internal and external cabling.
  • Ensure compliance – carrying out installations to fire safety regulations, including fire stopping for all internal cabling.
  • Follow technical plans – interpreting building surveys and drawings to deliver accurate and efficient installations.
  • Use advanced fibre techniques – including BFT, blowing fibre, splicing, and testing optical fibres to the highest standards.

What We’re Looking For

We want to hear from engineers who combine technical expertise with a passion for quality. Ideally, you’ll have:

  • Strong MDU installation experience with the confidence to manage complex projects.
  • Proficiency with telecom test equipment and technical plans.
  • Knowledge of working at heights and in underground networks, always keeping safety first.
  • A full UK driving licence (held for at least 12 months, with no more than 6 points).

(If yours have expired, don’t worry – we can refresh them through our in-house training):

  • MT003
  • SA002
  • SA020
  • N029
  • SWQR Unit 1

We believe in setting our engineers up for success and rewarding their commitment:

  • Competitive pay package with excellent earning potential.
