Mechanical Assembly Engineer Full-Time | £26,936 - £31,746 per annum (Dependent on Experience) Location: Poole Early Finish Fridays
A leading precision engineering company in Poole is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Assembly Engineer to join their high-quality production team. This is an excellent opportunity to work within the aerospace sector, assembling complex, high-specification components to industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Sub-assembly of machined components to meet strict aerospace standards
Performing tasks including:
Staking bearings
Heli-coil fitting
Valve assembly
Beading using aerospace-grade sealants (e.g., PR1770)
Conducting self-inspection and testing of finished assemblies
Reading and interpreting 2D engineering drawings and detailed assembly instructions
What We're Looking For:
Previous experience in mechanical assembly is essential
A solid understanding of aerospace assembly techniques
Ability to work accurately with hand tools and precision instruments
Experience in pressure testing would be a distinct advantage
Strong attention to detail, self-motivated, and quality-focused
