A great opportunity has arisen for a mechanical building services design engineer to join a well-established building services consultancy with a reputation for delivering high-quality, innovative, and sustainable M&E design solutions throughout various sectors including commercial and large scale domestic.\n\n:\n\nDevelop mechanical design solutions for HVAC, plumbing, and other building services systems.\nProduce detailed design drawings, specifications, and reports using AutoCAD and Revit (BIM Level 2).\nConduct site surveys and inspections to assess existing systems and inform design decisions.\nCollaborate with electrical engineers, architects, and contractors to ensure coordinated designs.\nSupport energy and thermal modelling activities and Part L compliance assessments.\nAssist in the preparation of performance specifications and tender documentation.\nAttend project meetings and liaise with clients to understand requirements and present solutions.\nContribute to value engineering exercises and cost control discussions.Beneficial Skills / Qualifications:\n\nDegree or HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.\nHands on experience in mechanical building services design.\nProficiency in AutoCAD and Revit; familiarity with thermal modelling software is a plus.\nStrong understanding of UK Building Regulations, CIBSE guidelines, and sustainability principles.\nExcellent communication and teamwork skills.\nAbility to manage time effectively and work on multiple projects simultaneously.\nAbility to attend site visits and progress meetings.Additional Details:\n\nCompetitive salary based on experience.\nSupport for professional development and chartership.\nFlexible working arrangements.\nOpportunity to work on a variety of challenging and rewarding projects.\nA collaborative and supportive team environment
