Our team is focused on energy efficiency and decarbonising the built environment, delivering sustainable solutions for a broad range of clients.We embrace digital innovation and global collaboration, and we’re looking for someone with strong technical skills and an innovative mindset—ready to contribute to our digital practice and manage diverse teams both locally and remotely.Your PurposeInterpret project briefs and contribute to mechanical building services design, prioritising sustainable solutions such as energy efficiency, decarbonisation, and passive approaches.Produce calculations using industry-standard tools (Excel, IES, Hevacomp) to support low-carbon and high-performance outcomes.Prepare technical specifications with NBS, collaborating closely with the Global Technology Centre and BIM team to integrate sustainable design principles.Represent AtkinsRéalis at meetings, championing sustainable practices with clients and contractors, and conduct site surveys and inspections to ensure adherence to environmental standards.Write reports, maintain records, and ensure compliance with all quality, environmental, and governance processes.Manage personal workload, project delivery elements, and assist with junior staff development, encouraging knowledge-sharing on sustainable design strategies.What you can bringDegree (or equivalent) in Building Services/Mechanical Engineering or related field.Chartered Engineer (or working towards CEng) with CIBSE or IMechE.Proficient with digital tools: IES, Hevacomp, Navisworks, NBS, Microsoft packages.Understanding of energy reduction and decarbonisation methods.Basic knowledge of energy/carbon data analytics and familiarity with building physics and passive design principles.Experience with measurement, verification, commissioning, and performance evaluation.Background in design consultancy or contractor design environment.Knowledge of relevant technical standards.Strong reporting and presentation skills; able to manage deliverables and budgets.Willingness to undertake other reasonable duties as required.Why work for AtkinsRéalis?We\u2019re ranked as one of LinkedIn\'s Top 25 Companies, where UK professionals want to work and stay once they join.
