OverviewMechanical & Commercial Heating Engineer£55k per annum & travel & packageLocation: West London and West EndReports To: Estates & Facilities ManagerSalary: £55k per annum plus vehicle/car allowance, 33 days holiday plus package and overtime. Contract: Full-time, PermanentResponsibilitiesOperate, maintain, and repair commercial heating, ventilation, and hot water systems within the hospital plant room.Carry out routine servicing, fault diagnosis, and planned preventative maintenance on steam systems, pumps, pressurisation units, and associated mechanical equipment.Respond promptly to reactive maintenance requests and breakdowns, ensuring minimal disruption to hospital services.Ensure all works are carried out in line with statutory compliance, health & safety regulations, and hospital policies.Support energy efficiency initiatives and identify opportunities for performance improvements within the plant.Maintain accurate maintenance records and assist with audits, inspections, and compliance reporting.Collaborate closely with other estates staff, contractors, and clinical teams to support the safe running of the hospital.Qualifications & ExperienceTime-served apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, Heating & Ventilation, or a related discipline.Proven experience maintaining and repairing commercial heating systems, ideally within a healthcare or similar critical environment.Strong understanding of health & safety legislation, risk assessments, and safe systems of work.Good problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and under pressure.Excellent communication and team working skills.BenefitsCompetitive salary with overtime opportunities.NHS pension scheme (if applicable) or equivalent private pension.Ongoing training and professional development.Generous annual leave entitlement.Opportunity to contribute directly to the comfort and safety of patients, staff, and visitors.This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Engineer to work in an interesting environment with a clear career path in a successful and stable environment.To apply please contact Russ Cleverley at Penguin Recruitment in CONFIDENCE #J-18808-Ljbffr
