Mechanical Design Engineer – Robotic Automation | Strood | Full Time, 40 hours per week | Working hours are 08:00–16:30, Monday to Friday | £42,000 – £50,000 DOE For many years, our client has been providing automation solutions to all sectors of the manufacturing industry, making them a leading UK-based Industrial Robot integrator and Automation Systems supplier. They are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team in Rochester, Kent. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing and manufacturing turnkey automation solutions. This is an office-based position working closely with the internal engineering team. Are you the right person for the job? Proven industry experience in mechanical design engineering Mechanical Engineering degree (B.Sc. or higher) and/or years of industry experience Strong 3D CAD skills – preferably Autodesk Inventor Excellent understanding of manufacturing processes, including CNC milling, welding, fabrication, and assembly Knowledge of geometric tolerances and British technical/legislative standards Confident with design calculations, risk assessments, and CE/UKCA documentation Confident with pneumatic circuit design Strong communication and project management skills Experience in mentoring junior staff is desirable Familiarity with rob...
