Job Description
We have a very busy order book and are seeking a talented and experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join our current dynamic team at Incotech Ltd.
In this role as Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for creating detailed designs and specifications from initial concept to production drawings for various mechanical systems and machine builds. Your contributions will directly impact our ability to deliver high-quality solutions from cradle to grave that exceed customer expectations and are on time.
The Mechanical Design Engineers role is extremely varied, interesting, challenging and rewarding, and you must share our passion for engineering innovation and problem solving in a team environment.
Current projects include magnetic field measuring machines, assembly/production machines for aircraft and automotive components and servo driven bearing press machine.
The ideal person will have at least five years’ experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer of special purpose machines or similar and will have knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical actuation systems.
Key Responsibilities
* Responsible to the Engineering Director
* Design and develop mechanical systems for automation, assembly, and testing applications from concept to final product.
* Develop detailed mechanical design drawings using cad software preferably SolidWorks
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and specifications.
* Conduct system design analysis & calculations to ensure functionality and reliability of mechanical systems.
* Perform root cause analysis on design issues and implement effective solutions.
* Support the testing and validation of prototypes to ensure compliance with specifications.
* Document design processes and maintain accurate records of all design modifications.
* Prepare technical documentation and reports for project stakeholders.
* Support & liaise with the workshop build team
Must Have
* Must have a can do and go get attitude
* Ability to multitask
* Good time management target driven with a good track record of meeting tight deadlines
* Strong mechanical knowledge with a solid understanding of system design principles.
* Highley motivated confident team player with energy and enthusiasm
* Excellent problem-solving skills.
* Proficiency in SolidWorks, CAD software
* Awareness of electrical systems and sensors
* Experience in pneumatic and fluid actuator systems
* Experience in motor systems and servo control
Experience & Qualifications
* Post graduate education in Mechanical Design with minimum 5 years proven work experience as a Mechanical Designer, preferably involving special purpose machines, test equipment and automation background
* Polite with good communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and clients.
* Excellent numeracy and literacy skills
* Good PC skills with the ability to learn new systems Quickly
