Mechanical Design Engineer / Draughtsman

£35 to £42K depending on experience

One of the UK’s leading designers and manufacturers of bespoke materials handling, conveying systems & industrial equipment, with supporting structural framework, is looking to secure the services of a Draughtsman or Mechanical Design Engineer to join the Design Office.

The company, with a heritage of over four decades, commenced trade supplying to the mining community and has since successfully diversified into new sectors including Power, Waste, Mining and Quarrying – where it enjoys a strong reputation of project delivery.

Due to continued growth and increased projects, you will join a team of 5 highly capable engineers working on individual projects in a collaborative fashion.

Your experience and interests may lie in draughting, or input with design, or customer liaison – there is a place for someone, and we’re interested in speaking with you to better understand how you might fit into and work best within the team.

Desirable Experience / Qualifications

* Minimum 3 years’ Design Experience

* Skilled SolidWorks user – other CAD packages may be considered

* Experience in Heavy Engineering / Structural Steelwork / Bespoke Industrial Equipment / Conveyors / Materials Handling systems / Water Treatment

* Engineering Qualification – ideal HNC, Level 3 considered

* A Health & Safety qualification (IOSH or NEBOSH)

* Full UK driving licence
