Are you a Mechanical Design Engineer looking for the next step in your career?

We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join a global building services consultancy in a long term, outside IR35 contract position.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on several large–scale warehouse projects, with a motivating and experienced team and requires 1x a week travel to either the London or Oxfordshire office.

–Competitive hourly rate range from 42–50 (depending on experience).

–Hybrid working arrangement.

Key Responsibilities:

–Developing detailed mechanical design drawings.

–Supporting concept generation and mechanical feasibility studies.

–Conducting design calculations and simulations where required.

–Collaborating with clients and internal teams to define project requirements.

–Managing design documentation and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

–Engaging in design reviews and problem–solving discussions with a cross–functional team.

What we are looking for:

Essential:

A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

–Extensive experience in mechanical design engineering.

–Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and materials.

–Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

–A proactive, can–do attitude and a genuine passion for design innovation.

Desirable:

–Chartered or working towards Chartership (IET or similar) preferred.
