We're looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer for a well-established power business providing low-carbon energy and storage solutions for a mix of industrial and public sector clients.

Responsibilities will include:

Produce mechanical design packs, specifications, process flow diagrams, P&IDs, and equipment schedules for power and energy storage projects.

Liaise with CAD teams and suppliers to ensure design packages meet quality standards, budget, and deadlines.

Carry out mechanical calculations including pipe/pump sizing, heat recovery, heat rejection, ventilation, etc.

Support project managers during installation, commissioning, and testing phases, providing technical input and resolving issues.

Attend site surveys and coordinate with internal and external teams to ensure smooth project delivery.

Qualifications and Experience:

HND/Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.

Proven experience in mechanical design for industrial plant or power systems.

Skilled in producing P&IDs, process flow diagrams, and detailed mechanical layouts.

Able to work from CAD drawings and technical specifications to produce accurate documentation
