Mechanical Design Engineer

A growing technology company at the forefront of scientific research and instrumentation is seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join their R&D team. The company develops complex, high-precision systems used across a wide range of industries.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on the design and development of next-generation systems, tackling issues associated with precision instrumentation. You\'ll play a key role in taking products from concept through to manufacture, working in a multi-disciplinary team where innovation and problem-solving are highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop precision components and mechanisms
• Take products from early stage concepts to production
• Specify and integrate motorised chamber mechanisms and actuators
• Develop fabricated, machined, and formed parts, from specification to testing
• Produce detailed CAD models and engineering drawings
• Support prototyping, assembly, and testing of new systems

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or a related field
• 5+ years\' experience in mechanical design and product development
• Strong 3D CAD skills - SolidWorks
• Experience in electro-mechanical products, scientific instrumentation or control systems
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes - fabrication, machining, and 3D printing
• Familiarity with ISO9001 and/or ISO13485 quality systems
