Role- Mechanical Design Engineer

Salary- £35,000 - £42,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Type- Permanent

My client is a specialist manufacturer. They are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer with strong hands-on skills to join their team in West London on a permanent basis.

The Mechanical Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

Degree / HNC / HND / BTEC / NVQ qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similar At least 2 years’ experience in a similar Design / Mechanical Engineering position Excellent proficiency with CAD software – ideally SolidWorks Experience in a heavy, technical engineering industry would be ideal Knowledge of machinery design Proven ability to drive Engineering development Good mathematical and general engineering knowledge Excellent knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials – sheet metal, castings, machining etc. The ability to understand system requirements Be self-motivated with excellent attention to detail Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written
