Salary: £40,000 - £45,000

Hours: Mon-Thurs 08:00-17:00, Fri 08:00-13:00

Role Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Design Application Engineer to join a dynamic engineering team. This role is ideal for a proactive and experienced design engineer looking to take ownership of projects from concept to completion.

Key Responsibilities

Create layout, assembly, and detailed manufacturing drawings using 2D/3D CAD software.

Provide technical support for standard products to customers and the sales team, including occasional site visits.

Develop concept design proposals to support new business opportunities.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams on new product development from idea to launch.

Conduct engineering studies to assess feasibility of new concepts.

Support quality teams in evaluating product failures or returns.

Generate bills of materials for new configurations and products.

Produce CAD-based documentation including datasheets, work instructions, and marketing materials.

Assist in the administration of the design department. Candidate Profile

Minimum 5 years' experience in a design engineering role.

Proficient in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD).

Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
