We are recruiting a Mechanical Design Engineer to handle project design from customer specifications to completion at their site in Wolverhampton.Job Title: Mechanical Design EngineerLocation: WolverhamptonSalary: £45,000Benefits: 25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays, sick pay, wellbeing support, and cycle to work schemeHours of Work: Monday to Thursday - 8am to 4pm / Friday 8am to 1pmMain Duties & ResponsibilitiesAssess and review customer requirements, including providing technical support for sales.Design projects to ensure customer requirements are translated into effective design solutions.Create bills of materials.Support procurement activities with technical input.Assist manufacturing activities throughout the build and completion process.Contribute to standard product design improvements.Knowledge & ExperienceThis role is ideally suited to an organized, proactive, and self-motivated individual with a systematic approach to design and documentation. You should have:Education to HNC level in a Mechanical-related discipline.Broad experience in Design and Drafting, including 2D and 3D CAD (SOLIDWORKS).Experience with Agricultural, Mining equipment, commercial vehicles, or waste handling machinery is highly advantageous.Proficiency with PC office software applications.The ability to work to tight project deadlines. #J-18808-Ljbffr
