I’m currently representing a leading Engineering company, in the Manufacturing industry. They’re looking for a Lead Design Engineer to join them on a permanent basis due to growth in the company.

Lead Design Engineer Job Description

Project Leadership: Guides multi-skilled technical teams, setting expectations, offering feedback, and steering complex projects through clear coordination and communication.

Project Planning & Delivery: Manages design work from start to finish, keeping tasks on track, juggling deadlines, and ensuring quality and budget targets are met. 

Engineering Design & Development: Carries out advanced design and simulation work, focusing on efficiency, cost, and sustainability; leads testing and refinement of new or updated systems.

Collaboration: Works closely with internal teams and outside partners to make sure design goals are aligned, practical, and well-executed.

Technical Documentation: Keeps up with current industry methods, supports the team technically, and maintains accurate records and regular updates for senior leaders.
