What The Role Will Involve

  • Provide mechanical technical support to all stages of the design lifecycle, from concept definition and system/equipment development through first article and formal qualification, to manufacture and customer acceptance.
  • Collaborate with internal systems engineering and design teams to generate mechanical specifications and environmental requirements, develop robust product designs, and implement cost-effective design for manufacturing strategies.
  • Develop mechanical/structural designs; produce design artefacts including 3D models, mechanical drawings, BOMs, etc.
  • Perform tolerance stack analysis and shock/stress analysis/calculations of mechanical designs and justify analyses.
  • Develop mechanical/structural design in line with environmental/shock qualification plans and strategies to support equipment/system development and formal acceptance.

What You’ll Bring

  • Degree qualified plus a minimum of 4 years of related experience.
  • Experience in a heavily regulated industry.
  • Experience with AutoCAD Inventor or SolidWorks.
  • Experience in product development, design for manufacture and failure analysis.
  • Resilient, flexible and adaptable approach; strong communicator.
