Aspion Search is partnering with a long-established engineering manufacturer to hire a hands-on Mechanical Design Engineer. The business operates across multiple UK sites and is known for excellent staff retention and strong technical capability.

The Mechanical Design Engineer will work closely with the operations and manufacturing teams to support ongoing production and continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities of the Mechanical Design Engineer:

Updating and maintaining existing engineering drawings Providing design and manufacturing support for day-to-day production Delivering cost reduction and capital project work Supporting quality systems and maintaining accreditations Promoting safety and continuous improvement across the site Troubleshooting and driving practical engineering solutions About the Mechanical Design Engineer:

Degree-qualified or time-served Mechanical Engineer At least 2 year’s experience in a mechanical/manufacturing environment Comfortable with manual calculations/engineering maths. CAD skills (SolidWorks preferred, but other 3D CAD considered) Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems beneficial Strong problem-solving mindset and attention to detail Motivated, physically active, and team-oriented Benefits of the Mechanical Design Engineer
