The Company\n\nOur client is a market leading engineering company; due to growth they are now looking to recruit and Mechanical Design Engineer.\n\nThe Role\n\n * Will play a key role in the engineering function in ensuring that the company has a range of high quality, technically innovative and commercially competitive machines to offer to the market.\n\n * Primary responsibility will be design, develop and maintain the company’s machines with innovative design, high performance and competitive cost from production and supply chain.\n\n * In addition, the role requires that the candidate will be responsible for the continuous improvement and re-engineering of existing machines.\n\n * Scope working as part of the engineering team, where you will be tasked with creating innovative new designs to expand current portfolio.\n\n * The role will also be involved with maintaining existing machines, with projects focused on optimization and cost savings.\n\n * Additionally, you will support the other departments with problem solving and technical enquires.\n\n * The production and maintenance of technical documentations, including CAD drawings, costing data, design calculations, bills of materials, test data etc.\n\nThe Person\n\n * As a Design Engineer, you will be technically strong and will have a relevant BSc or MSc with a mechanical bias.\n\n * Previous machine design experience would be beneficial.\n\n * A proven track record of design development success while working to stringent deadlines and budgets.\n\n * Proficient 3D CAD user with experience of Inventor or Solidworks.\n\nThe Benefits\n\n * You will be working for a well-established growing employer.\n\n * An excellent salary.\n\n * A company experiencing continued growth, expansion and investment.\n\n * The company are fully compliant with the latest health and safety requirements for current safe working practices
