Mechanical Design Engineer Cookstown Full-time | Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm The Opportunity Our client, a leading engineering solutions provider, is seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join their growing team in Cookstown. This role offers the chance to work within a modern office environment on exciting water and wastewater projects, collaborating with a multidisciplinary design team and contributing to the full project lifecycle. What You'll Do Deliver mechanical design for water/wastewater projects in line with client specifications. Produce P&IDs (using Plant 3D), 3D models (Revit), and detailed drawings for fabrication and site installations. Prepare pump calculations, equipment schedules, and technical specifications. Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors for quotations and equipment details. Compile technical submissions for client review and attend regular project/site meetings. Work closely with process, electrical, and ICA engineers across projects. Ensure compliance with ISO Quality, Environmental, and Health & Safety standards. Take ownership of projects from initial specification through to commissioning. About You Essential: Mechanical engineering qualification (HNC/HND or similar). Minimum 4 years' experience in a mechanical design role. Strong background in 3D modelling (Revit, Inventor, SolidWorks, etc). Experience in fabrication design. Proven ability to work within a multidisciplinary team. Innovative and solutions-focused approach. Desirable: Experience with AEC software (Revit, Plant 3D, Navisworks). Previous exposure to multidiscipline projects within the M&E sector, ideally water industry. Knowledge of ISO19650 BIM standards.
