Our commitment to excellence has earned us a strong reputation, and we're looking for a talented Mechanical Design Engineer to contribute to our continued success.\n\nThe Role:\n\nSo, what will you be doing as a Mechanical Design Engineer?\n\nDeliver mechanical design and proving activities for prime and variant products, across piece parts and assemblies.\nProvide support to manufacturing teams, resolving production issues and defects.\nContribute to functional and environmental testing and trials.\nWork with suppliers and purchasing teams to address and resolve technical queries.\nPlan and report on your day-to-day activities to align with project milestones.\nEngage in requirements definition, clarifying and challenging unnecessary specifications to reduce lead time, cost, and design complexity. \n\nWhat are we looking for in our next Mechanical Design Engineer?\n\nProficiency in Creo 3D CAD tools.\nKnowledge of:\nManufacturing processes\nTolerance studies\nEnvironmental testing\nMass property calculations\nMaterial selection\nFMEA\nDesign for Manufacture/Assembly (DFM/DFA)\nEnvironmental gasket sealing\nTooling and fixture design\nStructural design\nDefence Standards\nReview processes\nProduct lifecycles\nIndustrial validation\nAbility to host or contribute to design reviews.\nAppreciation of cross-disciplinary engineering domains.
