Due to award of long-term contracts with major energy clients our client is looking to hire a Mechanical Design Engineer to join the business.
Key Responsibilities:
The Mechanical Design Engineer will be tasked in producing new drawings based on the customers’ specifications. But also:
* Create drawings necessary for prototyping.
* Maintain and update drawing systems.
* Initiate, direct and support engineering projects.
* Conduct self-driven research and development projects and keep up to date with current and developing trends in the manufacturing industry at a national and international level.
* Complete and thoroughly document new designs.
The Person:
* A bachelors’ Degree in mechanical engineering or relevant qualification in Engineering.
* A solid understanding of design.
* Advanced skills in 3D CAD modelling.
* Preferred SolidWorks with knowledge of PDM or equivalent.
* 5-10 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
* High degree of initiative.
