With a strong UK-wide presence, Tetra Tech delivers innovative mechanical and electrical engineering solutions across sectors such as Healthcare, Education, Commercial, and Defence. The Leicester office plays a key role in delivering technically challenging and sustainable projects across the region.Your new roleAs a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will support the design and delivery of building services projects, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to provide high-quality mechanical engineering solutions. Your responsibilities will include:Designing mechanical systems (HVAC, public health, etc.) from concept to completionProducing detailed design calculations, specifications, and technical drawingsSupporting senior engineers with site surveys, inspections, and construction stage dutiesCoordinating with clients, architects, and other engineering disciplinesEnsuring compliance with current building regulations and sustainability standardsParticipating in project meetings and contributing to technical discussionsDeveloping your technical skills with guidance from experienced engineersWhat you'll need to succeedDegree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related fieldExperience working on mechanical building services projects within a consultancy or contractor environmentFamiliarity with design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Hevacomp, IES, and NBSStrong communication and teamwork skillsA proactive and solution-focused mindsetFull UK driving licence (preferred)What you'll get in returnThis is a fantastic opportunity to develop your career with one of the world's leading engineering consultancies.
