As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for creating and developing detailed designs for steel moulds and other bespoke engineering projects. You will work closely with customers, production teams, and colleagues to ensure high-quality results are delivered to specification and on schedule. Key Responsibilities: Interpret and review customer drawings to fully understand requirements. Produce accurate mould designs using SolidWorks, including sheet metal features. Create and issue detailed drawing packs and Bills of Materials (BOMs) for production. Provide clear manufacturing instructions for assemblies and sub-assemblies. Support fabrication and assembly teams throughout the build process. Conduct customer site visits as required. Collaborate with and support the wider engineering team. Skills & Experience Degree in Mechanical Engineering At least 4 years experience in a design engineering role. Proficient in SolidWorks with sheet metal design capability. Confident in the use of Microsoft Office software. Experience in the steel and/or precast concrete industry (preferred).
