JOB – Mechanical Design Engineer (Inventor)\n LOCATION – Newcastle\n TERM – Permanent\n SALARY – £30,000 to £40,000 per annum (plus benefits)\n\n My client is a specialist engineering company working across a range of industrial sectors. They are looking to take on a Mechanical Design Engineer with experience in Inventor to join their design team in Newcastle.\n \nThe Mechanical Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:\n • Experience in mechanical design within manufacturing or engineering environments\n • Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor\n • Ability to produce detailed 3D models, drawings, and BOMs\n • Knowledge of sheet metal, machined parts, and assemblies\n • Engineering qualification (HND, HNC, BEng, MEng, or similar)\n • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail\n • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team\n • Good communication skills (written and verbal)\n \nThe Mechanical Design Engineer role will involve:\n • Designing mechanical components and assemblies using Inventor and SolidWorks\n • Producing 3D models and 2D engineering drawings\n • Generating and managing Bills of Materials (BOMs)\n • Supporting the design and development of machinery and bespoke equipment\n • Liaising with production, purchasing, and project teams to ensure manufacturability\n • Modifying and improving existing designs to meet client requirements\n • Ensuring designs comply with company and industry standards\n \nIf you are interested in this position, please apply with an up-to-date CV as soon as possible, along with your availability and salary expectations
