Mechanical + Electrical Engineers \n\nLondon Heathrow Airport\n\n£50,000 per year\n\n4 on 4 off Days & Nights\n\nOverview:\n\nOur client is seeking skilled mechanical and electrical engineers to join their team at London Heathrow Airport. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the productivity and output of the airport's baggage and cargo handling systems by performing maintenance duties in compliance with health and safety regulations, quality standards, and team working practices.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nCarry out planned preventative maintenance on all equipment, ensuring "right first time" repairs and proactive identification of potential issues.\nRespond quickly to breakdown situations and carry out effective corrective maintenance regimes.\nTroubleshoot and rectify electrical faults in a range of field devices, including motor controllers, sensors, and scanners.\nEnter all work carried out and parts used into the Maximo system.\nDemonstrate problem-solving skills and carry out effective root cause analysis to identify and resolve issues.\nMaintain a professional and courteous manner when dealing with customers face-to-face, via email, or on the phone.\nEnsure that contract service level agreements (SLAs) are consistently achieved and improved.\nProvide cover for other service technicians and shifts when necessary.\nAdhere to company legislative Health & Safety regulations and policies at all times, ensuring a safe and tidy working environment.Requirements:\n\nTime served apprenticeship or equivalent.\nCity & Guilds/NVQ level 3 or above in maintenance mechanical/electrical discipline.\nPrevious experience within an FMCG manufacturing or automated warehousing environment (desirable).\nAbility to obtain and maintain a full airside pass.\nLean Six Sigma trained to a minimum of yellow belt or demonstrable experience in CI project delivery.\nGood interpersonal skills and able to communicate precisely both in writing and verbally at all levels.\nComputer literate and able to use CMMS systems.\nAbility to read and interpret drawings.\nAbility to plan and prioritize workload, work on own initiative as well as a member of a team, and work overtime as required.\nSmart appearance, professional behaviour, and respectful attitude to all people.\nDesirable: 18th edition, ONC/HNC, multiskilled, experience in using PLCs and diagnostics, experience in training/coaching.Essential:\n\nThis is a permanent position and will be working at Heathrow Airport, the below will need to be completed to be allowed access to work at Heathrow.\n\n5 Year work history or reference check\nCriminal record checkIf you have a passion for maintenance and want to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on continuous improvement, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.\n\nHow to Apply:\n\nFor more information on the role, or an informal discussion regarding opportunities we have available, please contact Laura on (phone number removed) or \n\nWhy work with Proactive?\n\nProactive Technical Recruitment is an industry leading, specialist engineering recruitment agency focused on the automation, manufacturing and robotics sectors.
