Be part of a team delivering gas turbine packages tailored to customer specifications, collaborating with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to understand project requirements and develop optimal solutions.
Responsibilities
- Be part of a team delivering gas turbine packages tailored to customer specifications.
- Collaborate with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to understand project requirements and develop optimal solutions.
- Write and update purchase specifications, working closely with suppliers to enhance new designs or improve existing ones.
- Conduct analyses to ensure designs meet customer applications effectively.
- Review and verify the work of colleagues and suppliers to maintain high standards.
- Assist in fault report investigations, provide manufacturing and assembly support, and aid the sales team.
- Engage in commercial discussions, understanding their implications on cost, lead time, and market acceptance.
- Provide support for global contract engineering and manufacturing locations for Siemens Energy gas turbine auxiliary equipment.
Qualifications
- A degree in an engineering discipline (BEng or equivalent), with exceptions based on competence and experience.
- A collaborative mindset, capable of working both independently and with external partners to achieve results.
- Flexibility to adapt to the evolving needs of the business and department.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively at all levels.
- Good organisational and time management skills.
- Strong analytical skills with the capability to perform detailed engineering calculations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint); PLM2020 experience is preferred but not essential.
