We are a well-established and growing facilities maintenance provider with a proven track record of delivering high-quality mechanical and electrical services across London and the Home Counties. Due to sustained client demand and continued success, we are looking to expand our in-house specialist pump team by appointing a skilled and self-driven Mobile Pump Engineer.

Job Summary

This is a mobile, home-based position working as part of a close-knit, experienced team of 4 specialist engineers. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, fault finding, and servicing of a wide range of pumps and associated equipment across various commercial and industrial sites. Work is scheduled weekly in advance, giving you the flexibility to manage your own workload efficiently around any reactive call-outs. We support autonomy, responsibility, and a hands-on engineering mindset.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), diagnostics, and reactive repairs on: Submersible Pumps; Cold Water Booster Sets; Pressurisation Units; Condenser and Chilled Water Circulation Pumps; Inverters, Pipework, Valves, and Control Panels.
  • Diagnose faults and carry out on-site repairs including seal and bearing replacements.
  • Remove and reinstall pumps for workshop-based overhauls when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate job records and report efficiently using a mobile device.
  • Deliver high-quality customer service and uphold health and safety standards.

Key Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Specialist Pump Engineer in a mobile or field-based role.
  • Technical ability to fault-find and repair pumps up to 25kW.
  • Proficient in replacing shaft seals, bearings, and completing full pump overhauls.
  • Sound knowledge of mechanical systems related to water services and plant rooms.
  • Full clean UK driving licence is essential.
  • Self-motivated, reliable, and capable of working with minimal supervision.
