The Opportunity We’re seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join the pre-construction team on a major nuclear project in the South West. This is a site-based role offering the chance to influence critical installation planning and execution. We would also welcome applications from those in oil & gas, petrochemical, defence, power generation, or large-scale infrastructure sectors.
The Role This role would suit candidates currently working as Mechanical Supervisor, Site Manager, Construction Engineer, Installation Engineer, Piping Supervisor, HVAC Supervisor, Mechanical Coordinator, Project Engineer, Site Engineer, or Commissioning Engineer.
Your duties and responsibilities will be Oversee and coordinate mechanical installation activities during the pre-construction phase. Review and interpret construction drawings and BIM models to ensure accurate planning. Monitor construction sequencing and identify potential risks or clashes. Liaise with multiple stakeholders to maintain alignment on project objectives. Provide technical input and practical solutions based on site experience.You will have the following qualifications and experience Proven background in mechanical installation within large-scale projects. Strong understanding of construction sequencing for mechanical and/or electrical systems. Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings and digital models. Excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement.
