Engineer Surveyor – Lifting Equipment (Mechanical Engineer Surveyor)

Location: Oxford

Package: Circa £56K+ total package, including £42K-£45K basic salary, company car or car allowance, private health, double matching pension, and overtime opportunities.

Are you a mechanical engineer with experience in maintaining, servicing, or inspecting lifting equipment or cranes? Are you interested in joining a reputable, century-old test, inspection, and certification company? This role offers extensive training, with over £55,000 invested in your development within the first 12 months.

You will receive a basic salary of £42K-£45K, a contributory pension, yearly bonus, and a company car or allowance. The company is a SAFED and UKAS accredited professional services provider supporting various sectors including aerospace, manufacturing, forces, commercial, automotive, marine, utilities, industrial, and nuclear.

Responsibilities:

Inspection and certification of cranes and lifting equipment (including gantry cranes, crawler cranes, scissor lifts, MEWPs, excavators, FLTs)
Working in accordance with LOLER and PUWER regulations
Managing diaries and client relationships within designated areas
Maintaining technical standards and health & safety compliance

Qualifications and Skills:

Level 4 qualification or higher in a mechanical subject (e.g., HNC)
Hands-on experience with lifting equipment or cranes
UK driving license
Customer-facing skills
