Mechanical Engineer (Water)

This is not an entry level or graduate entry role. It's the perfect post if you have been in your first Mechanical Engineer position working specifically in the water industry.
You'll be joining the Leeds office of one of the water industries favoured consultants; they are close partners with water authorities and other bodies such as the Environment Agency and Flood Authorities.
It's fair to say that they are engaged on a range of unique and technically interesting schemes throughout the country. As a Leeds based Mechanical Engineer working on water related projects, it is essential that you have experience of carrying out the following:
Producing a scope of works and feasibility studies Initial and detailed design drawings Carbon reduction works, both embodied and in-use Writing performance specifications Reviewing tender responses and Carrying out site supervision including acceptance testing and commissioning. It is essential that you have a degree in Mechanical Engineering at 2.1 or above coupled with experience of working on water control structures, pumping stations and systems as well as other aspects such as those for water transfer, screening, drives, lifting systems and materials handling.
