About the Role As a Field Service Engineer, you'll be the face of an industry-leading company known for delivering high-end automated storage systems to major clients across logistics, manufacturing, healthcare, defence, and beyond.
Your focus will be on maintaining and repairing advanced vertical lift modules and automated carousels, many of which rely heavily on 3-phase power and frequency inverter technology. You’ll work independently across your region, with occasional UK-wide travel and overnight stays.
What You’ll Be Doing
Servicing and maintaining automated storage systems at client sites
Troubleshooting and repairing 3-phase motors, inverters, and electromechanical assemblies
Performing safety inspections, fault diagnostics, and routine maintenance
Supporting software upgrades and system commissioning
Responding to breakdowns and supporting clients on-site
Managing your own travel, schedule, and technical documentation
Delivering exceptional customer service and technical support
⚙️ What We’re Looking For
Hands-on experience with 3-phase electrical systems
Understanding of frequency inverters and motor control systems
Qualifications or experience in electrical/mechanical engineering
Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills
Full UK driving licence
Willingness to travel and stay away overnight (as needed)
Strong communication, professional presentation, and self-motivation
Experience in materials handling, automation, or storage systems (ideal, not essential)
